First Timers

If you're a first timer at AIME, never fear, the first timers badge is here.

This exclusive badge, which you will receive at registration on-site, means exhibitors will know you are a first timer and be able to assist you with directions and information as and when required.

Here are our top tips for how to ensure you get the most out of the AIME experience.

Pre Planning

• Study the list of exhibitors before attending AIME

• Have a plan! There are 850 exhibitors, so find out where they are on the exhibition floor prior to attending

• Write a list of exactly what you want to achieve and revisit it before and during AIME

• Be inspired and motivated by our new Master Class seminars.  When you book 3 or more classes you receive a $5 discount per session.  Meetings and Events (MEA) members who attend AIME Master Class seminars will be allocated two Professional Development (PD) Points per hour.

• Familiarise yourself with the range of networking opportunities, not only do we hold the networking hour at Globe Restaurant & Bar between 4.45pm – 5.45pm on Tuesday, 2 March and 3.45pm – 4.45pm on Wednesday, 3 March, there are also social functions to attend including the Welcome Reception and AIME Club Night.  All events are a great way to make new industry contacts.

• Did you know that you can pre book your lunch at the Globe Restaurant & Bar?  When you are busy networking on the exhibition floor, organising lunch may be the last thing on your mind, so plan ahead and pre book.  To do so visit the FIND ME section of the website and click on ‘book now’ this will allow you to book not only your lunches but social functions and Master Class seminars you may have overlooked when registering.

• If you are travelling from interstate, be sure to look for our overnight packages.

• Pre-planning your trip to the MCEC will save time and stress on the day.  Head to the About the Venue section for travel details and map.

• Research the website so you have a good understanding about what to expect

On-site

• Make sure you get an Exhibition Directory when you enter AIME. This provides details of the event, the latest floor plan showing where every exhibitor is located and exhibitor contact details. Keep this as a handy industry reference tool for the year.

• Pick up a copy of the AIME Daily for the latest news from the exhibition floor.

• AIME also caters for around 550 hosted buyers who make prior appointments with exhibitors. If an exhibitor is involved in an appointment when you visit a stand, it does not mean they are not interested in you or your business. Arrange a time to come back to speak with the exhibitor or one of their staff.
