Welcome Reception - Monday, 1 March 2010
AIME 2010 opened with the official 2010 AIME Welcome Reception on Monday, 1 March. Each year this event is located in one of Melbourne’s hippest and most exciting event spaces and for 2010 it was held at The Goods Shed South, Village Street, in the Docklands from 6pm – 9pm. The event was organised with the assistance of key event sponsors, Staging Connections and Atlantic Group.
Club AIME - Monday, 1 March, Tuesday 2nd March and Wednesday 3 March
Club AIME was held at Lagerfield Bar & Beer Garden, located at the Clarendon Street end of the Crown Entertainment Complex. Club AIME was held on Monday 9 – 11pm, Tuesday 6 – 8pm and Wednesday 5 – 8pm. These evenings were an opportunity to network in a more relaxed environment, and AIME attendees enjoyed choosing from a selection of beverages at specially discounted prices.
Malaysia at the Globe Restaurant and Bar
In addition to the contemporary menu at Globe, Malaysia Tourism presented their ‘Flavours from Malaysia’. The flavours represented were from the Malaysian regions of Langkawi, Panang, Negeri, Sembilan and Sarawak. These regional food experiences were combined with the national dessert plate from the Ice Kachang.
Networking Hours – Tuesday, 2 March and Wednesday, 3 March 2010
Networking hours took place on Tuesday (4:45pm to 5:45pm) and Wednesday (3:45pm to 4:45pm) at Globe Restaurant and Bar and allowed attendees to make new contacts and create business opportunities.

Thanks to the Melbourne Convention + Visitors Bureau (MCVB) and its members, visitors to AIME were able to take advantage of exclusive Melbourne restaurant and bar discounts on the Tuesday evening.

Crown VIP Shopping Night - Tuesday, 2 March 2010
For those who wished to indulge their passion for shopping, Crown hosted an exclusive VIP Shopping Night for all AIME delegates on Tuesday 2nd March, 2010.
Attendees were able to experience Crown’s new shopping precinct on level 1, now home to leading Australian and international fashion brands like Saba, Zu Shoes, Marcs, Mimco, Peter Alexander, Guess, Raoul, French Connection, Politix, Witchery, and G-Star Raw. Special discounts of up to 30%* were offered exclusively to AIME delegates, as well as a chance to win an accommodation package at Crown’s soon to be open hotel, Crown Metropol.

AIME’s popular club night event, MIX@Fusion was held on the Tuesday evening from 10pm to 2am at Fusion Night Club, in the Crown Entertainment Complex.
