AIME Expands Executive Team and Announces New Hires in Lead-up to Blockbuster 2025 Event

The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) is expanding its executive team with key hires in preparation for the much-anticipated AIME 2025, set to take place in February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

Leading the new appointments is John Wilson, who joins AIME as Marketing Director, bringing over 25 years of industry expertise. Wilson has held senior roles at major international event organizers, including Informa, Deutsche Messe, and Foundry (IDG). In his new role, he will oversee AIME’s global marketing communications as the team gears up for the 32nd edition of the event.

Joining him is Kayla Elliott, a multi-disciplinary creative storyteller, who takes on the role of Marketing Executive. Elliott will be responsible for crafting compelling content that connects with AIME’s global audience, ensuring the event remains a key fixture in the business events industry.

In addition, Claire Graham has been appointed Director of Operations and Content. Graham brings over 20 years of event management experience, having worked on iconic Australian events like Taste Festival, Smooth FM Chocolate Festival, and the ATSA Independent Living Festival. After successfully overseeing operations for AIME 2024, Graham now officially joins the AIME team to manage the operations for AIME 2025.

Further strengthening the operations team is Nissa Ni, who has been appointed Event and Systems Coordinator. Ni comes to AIME with almost 15 years of experience at MCEC, AIME’s home base, making her a valuable asset to the team as the event continues to grow.

AIME Event Director, Silke Calder, expressed her excitement about the new team members:
"We’re thrilled to welcome John, Claire, Kayla, and Nissa to the AIME team. Their fresh perspectives and deep industry knowledge are already making a difference as we ramp up preparations for AIME 2025."

Calder also highlighted AIME’s ongoing success:
"AIME 2024 was a huge success, and with the expansion of our team, we are confident that AIME 2025 will be even bigger and better. The event continues to cement its position as the leading event for the international business events community in the Asia Pacific region."

AIME 2025 will be the fourth event delivered by Calder and her team from Talk2 Media and Events, who manage the show on behalf of the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB). The event promises to be a blockbuster, with an expanded footprint of 15,000 sqm across 10 bays to accommodate over 600 exhibitors, 650 hosted buyers, and the 20,000 meetings scheduled to take place on the show floor.

As the premier MICE event in the region, AIME connects international and local buyers with world-class exhibitors from the Asia Pacific and beyond. AIME 2025 will take place from 10-12 February 2025, followed by the UFI 2025 Asia-Pacific Conference on 13-14 February, marking a significant collaboration between the global exhibitions association UFI and AIME for the first time.
