Meet our first AIMEbassadors

21 December 2020 •

2020 has been a roller coaster but if it has taught us anything, it is the true value of connection and importance of community. This industry has had to reimagine ways to connect and rethink what we once knew. Thankfully, this has brought about the birth of our AIMEbassador program. And it is with great excitement that we introduce to our AIME community, the first of our AIMEbassadors!

They will help us evolve AIME 2021 to reach its full potential and kickstart the industry (no pressure…). Leading up to AIME 2021, you will get to know a lot more about our special AIMEbassadors, but for now here’s a little insight into why they have decided to come on board as an AIMEbassador:

Andrew Hiebl, CEO, Association of Australian Convention Bureaux

“I have always been an AIMEbassador, so formalising the title through this program was a no-brainer. AIME is a critical platform for the business events industry to network, collaborate, innovate and do business.

Colette Baini, Director, The Conference Room | President, SITE ANZ

Ensuring the health of our industry and protecting our people, our intellectual property and our skill base is essential. Protecting our industry is the single most important task for us all right now. AIME provides the strongest platform for ensuring collaboration and connectivity across all sectors of business events.

Maggie Diasinos, Senior Global Sales Director, Hyatt

“AIME will be the first in person national industry event for Australia in 2021. It is imperative that the industry supports this event to reconnect our community to plan for the future.

Paula Rowntree, Head of Events & Experience, Royal Australian College of General Practitioners

“2020 was a challenging year for the industry I love. I see AIME as a place for us to come together and unite as we decide how we want to move forward. AIME offers us a chance to reconnect, to learn and to share stories. When we come together we inspire each other, we energise and we reignite the fire we all have to bring the business of meetings back.

“I want to be a part of encouraging my industry friends and colleagues to come and connect and to know that they are not alone and that in the middle of what feels like a never ending battle, there are opportunities for us. We are at a pivotal time to re-set the scene for the future of the industry we all love.”
