15 March 2022 • ,

With one week until show time, the AIME Insider is excited to reveal that Japan is gearing up for an unforgettable return to Australian shores!

A total of nine Japanese exhibitors are preparing to showcase their finest at AIME, including representatives from Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO), Chiba, Hiroshima, Tokyo, Kitakyushu, Kobe, Sapporo, Fukuoka and Kyoto.

Ms Yoko Tanaka, Executive Director, JNTO says, “We are really looking forward to exhibiting at AIME and reconnecting with meetings and events planners once more. Our partners across Japan have been working hard to prepare for the return of international travel and events, and we are excited to showcase the various regions and experiences awaiting incentive groups and other business events when they next travel to Japan.”

With just days to go, Silke Calder, Event Director at AIME is also placing the final touches on the event experience, as the team prepares to welcome a wave of international buyers from all over the world, following the recent announcements on Australia’s borders reopening.

“We cannot believe the show is almost here, and what better way to celebrate the revival of our industry than being the first business events trade show in the country to welcome guests from overseas. Our community is beyond excited and we cannot wait to see so many of you soon.

“With that being said, to our friends and partners who won’t be able to join us this year, including our neighbours recovering from the flood-affected areas within New South Wales and Queensland, and further from home those in Ukraine, our thoughts and prayers are with you all and we hope to see you soon.”
