Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME), the leading meetings and conventions event in the region, has been awarded Best Trade Show (over 10,000m2) of 2019, at the Exhibition & Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) annual Awards for Excellence, held in Melbourne.

The EEAA Awards for Excellence celebrate the achievements of outstanding shows, venues, suppliers, teams and individuals, and their hard work, creative curation and strategic planning that goes into each and every aspect of an industry event.

The event’s organiser Talk2 Media & Events was challenged with relaunching AIME earlier this year with a new vision and bespoke offering, reigniting the passion and inspiration the business events industry was craving. The team implementing a new rigorous vetting process for Hosted Buyers, introduced a cost-effective stand known as the Embassy Suites for exhibitors, and maximised opportunities to drive positive returns on investment for all delegates.

Also taking out an award for AIME on the night were Decorative Events & Exhibitions for Best New Product for the Embassy Suites designed in collaboration with the Talk2 team.  This new take on a tradition ‘shell scheme’ was something unseen before and provided exhibitors with an easy, bespoke and cost-effective option to have a strong presence on the show floor.

AIME is the first event to kick off the Business Events calendar and is held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. AIME 2020 will run 17–19 February.
