The best in the West were announced over the weekend at the 2019 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards Gala Dinner, held at Crown Perth.

The Awards, held on 9 November, saw Pullman Bunker Bay take Gold in the Business Events Venues Category, sponsored by the Perth Convention Bureau, followed by Optus Stadium with Silver, while Bronze went to Crown Perth.

Pullman Bunker Bay also took out the top spot in the Luxury Accommodation category, a testament to the resort’s commitment to making the property a premier luxury resort in WA’s South West.

Area General Manager of Operations for Accor Western Australia, Nathan Frost expressed his delight at the resort’s recognition at the Awards.

“The Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards have recognised excellence in all areas of tourism achievement for almost 50 years. I am very proud to see Pullman Bunker Bay Resort recognised for their exceptional, record-breaking results over the past year,” Mr Frost said.

“The Pullman brand continues to set the industry benchmark for luxury and exceptional guest experiences not only in Western Australia, but worldwide.”

In its 47th year, the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards attracted a record number of entries, representing a diverse range of businesses from across Western Australia.

“The Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards is the most prestigious awards program in the tourism industry, with a long history of celebrating and recognising business excellence, innovation and outstanding customer service by tourism operators,” Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall said.

“The longevity and process of the Awards really does mean that those operators which take home medals are the best tourism businesses Western Australia has on offer.”
