BUSINESS EVENTS PERTH UNVEILS NEW DIGITAL TOURS OF WESTERN AUSTRALIAN VENUES
Business Events Perth unveiled a suite of digital tours of Western Australia’s most iconic and impressive conference venues, transforming the way site visits are carried out by business event planners.
The new 3D digital tours can be viewed on any device, providing a fully immersive experience of the world-class venues on offer on Australia’s west coast, such as Crown Perth, the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Optus Stadium.
Business Events Perth chief executive Gareth Martin said the new tours put Western Australia at the fingertips of the rest of the world and was a strategic investment by the convention bureau in its work to secure national and international business events for Western Australia.
“Business Events Perth recognises the need for clients to continue to view venues to plan their business events with confidence,” Mr Martin said.
“Event planners are now able to take a virtual self-guided walk through of a Perth meeting venue and feel like they’re really there, no matter where they are in the world. This is a game changer for reigniting that confidence to plan and book a business event here in Western Australia.”
The venue tours can be found on Business Events Perth’s new website, which is filled with bespoke destination marketing content, delegate boosting assets and an upgraded venues and services search.
“Having a strong digital presence has never been more important to showcase everything Western Australia has to offer, and we’re thrilled to be launching our new 3D tours of major Perth venues, to further drive interest in Western Australia as a premium destination for business events,” Mr Martin said.
Supported by Business Events Australia’s Boost Program, fifteen 3D tours of Perth venues were made public today, with more planned to be released later this year.
“Business Events Australia is pleased to partner with Business Events Perth through the Business Events Boost Program and offer financial and marketing support to deliver innovative projects, such as the 3D digital tours, to encourage Australian businesses and organisations to host in-person events again,” said Penny Lion, Executive General Manager, Events at Tourism Australia.
The 3D tours include capacity charts and a measuring tool for ceiling heights, walls and distances between objects.
Viewers can view the full scope of the property as a virtual ‘dollhouse’ model.
EventSpace3D chief executive Lars Frederiksen said it was a pleasure to work with Business Events Perth to make the city’s amazing venues more accessible to the world.
“EventSpace3D is proud to be the leading 3D virtual walkthrough tour provider in the hospitality and tourism industry, having captured hundreds of world-class venues in Perth and Western Australia,” Mr Frederiksen said.
“Having this level of expertise was particularly crucial to be able to accurately showcase major venues such as Optus Stadium, Crown Perth, and the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, and the possibilities within those spaces.”
The new 3D tours are a continuation of Business Events Perth’s digital marketing activities, which has so far seen the creation of the widely acclaimed Interactive Business Event Planner and launch of BE Perth’s new website.
Since June 30 last year, Business Events Perth has confirmed more than 60 national and international business events for Western Australia, and has supported more than 175 intrastate business events, bringing together over 80,000 delegates to meet face-to-face.
Mr Martin encouraged event planners to view the new 3D tours today.
