Meet the AIME team: Sophie Gregson-Brown

20 July 2023 •

In this Meet the AIME Team article we introduce you to our newest events professional: Sophie Gregson-Brown. Sophie joins the AIME team as Senior Marketing Executive. Get to know Soph in our latest ‘Team Behind the Screens’ post below.

What do you love about being an events professional and working in events?

The power that events have to bring people together, create unforgettable experiences, and leave a lasting impact really excites me. The events and conference planning industry is where my passion is truly starting to flourish. It combines my love for strategic marketing with my desire to create memorable moments.

What is your favourite destination in the world?

Loas has to be up there with one of my favourite places I’ve ever visited, the people are so warm and friendly, the culture is very unique and the scenery is so beautiful with some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen.

What is the last book you read?

Ikigai: The Japanese secret to a long and happy life. A beautifully written book that is a treasure trove of wisdom teaching us to surrender to the moment. You can read more about Ikigai here

What three words best describes you?

Adventurous, empathetic and passionate

What have you learnt this year?

Amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life as an events professional, it’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of goals and forget to appreciate the present moment. I consciously find time for gratitude to reach a greater sense of contentment and happiness. Also, the importance of getting your vitamin D – there’s nothing better than sunshine to lift your spirit.

What is a fact about you that surprises people?

I arrived in Melbourne just a few days before we went into lockdown and thought I’d only be here for 2 weeks… 3 and a half years later, I now call Melbourne my home!

Thank you for taking the time to Meet the AIME Team. Welcome aboard Sophie!
