Jackie Caldwell

Jackie is a highly experienced meetings, conferences and events professional. She has worked in various roles across many different sectors of the industry. These roles include event management, business development, and relationship management with PCOs, event management companies, and event venues. Throughout her career she has developed strong relationships across most sectors of the market.
Most recently, Jackie has worked for GainingEdge and GTI Tourism representing Malaysia, and New Caledonia respectively to assist them to grow their events markets. As part of these roles, she has worked with Australian and New Zealand event planners to market the destinations and raise awareness of their available event-related product.
Jackie’s early career was in event management for national and international conferences and events and then working to organise exhibitions, in particular the international engineering and gift shows. The latter part of her career has involved business development and relationship management, initially with the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, where she initiated and ran the Melbourne Ambassadors Program to drive international conference business to Melbourne.
Jackie’s passion is travelling, meeting new people, and learning about the many different cultures from around the world. Her other passion has been volunteering for the much loved ‘Fitted For Work’ charity, which assists disadvantaged women to become employed and independently financial. She enjoys nothing more than having fun (loves a bit of a boogie) spending time with family and friends, entertaining, cooking, and generally wining and dining. To relax she loves to go to the movies, curling up with a good book, or a bit of bingeing on Netflix!
