Megan Van Den Berg is a proud Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung, Yorta Yorta and Boon Wurrung woman. Megan’s artistic journey started in her teens where she drew abstract drawings of country and spent many years painting and drawing. In 2005 Megan began her public artistic journey of art shows but chose to invest her time in Aboriginal affairs and leading to Director positions. In 2019 Megan and Emma after working together for many years decided to merge together and focus on an acknowledgement of plaque and creative art business where Megan reengaged with her art again and creating individual pieces and collaborations with Emma. Megan’s true loves are connection to country, abstract art and design.

Synopsis

First Nations Creative Leaders John Burgess and Emma Bamblett will be discussing the rise of First Nations innovation and offerings within the Australian tourism sector. In this session, John and Emma will touch on protocols and cultural considerations, the types of vendors, event organisers, speakers, artists, entertainment and caterers operating and how to access them.
